RolloverSystems Wins 2004 "Diamond In The Rough" Award As Charlotte's Top Emerging Technology Company

Charlotte Chamber’s Information Technology Charlotte Council Honors 3-Year-Old Firm For Developing Innovative 401(k) Rollover Solutions

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 21, 2004) -- RolloverSystems Inc., the world's leading innovator of 401(k) rollover solutions, is the 2004 winner of the Blue Diamond Award for "Diamond in the Rough," presented by the Charlotte Chamber Information Technology Charlotte (iTC) council to the Charlotte region's most promising early-stage technology company.

Reginald Bowser, founder, president and chief executive of RolloverSystems, accepted the award with key members of the RolloverSystems team Tuesday at the iTC's 16th Annual Blue Diamond Awards ceremony at the N.C. Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. The event recognized the technology achievements of more than 30 Charlotte-based companies in 10 categories.

"We are thrilled to receive this recognition from the iTC, and grateful to the Charlotte Chamber for supporting and recognizing the accomplishments of the technology community in the Charlotte region," Bowser said. "It is particularly gratifying to receive this kind of validation for the entire RolloverSystems team, which deserves all of the credit for creating the value and promise that led to our selection as the 2004 ‘Diamond in the Rough'."

The "Diamond in the Rough" Award is presented to the most outstanding early-stage firm based on its early presence in the greater Charlotte marketplace and its promise for continued success. The firm's success must be based on applying, developing, or distributing information technology in the greater Charlotte area.

The honor completes a sweep of locally sponsored awards for promising early-stage companies. In January, RolloverSystems was named winner of the "Pathfinder" award for early-stage companies by the Business Innovation & Growth Council, formerly the Metrolina Entrepreneurial Council. And RolloverSystems is among 10 entrepreneurs to be honored next month by The Charlotte Post.

In addition, RolloverSystems was recognized in December 2003 as a "Top Human Resource Product of the Year" in a competition sponsored by Human Resource Executive magazine. And the company is a finalist for Black Enterprise magazine's "Business Innovator of the Year" award to be announced in Dallas in May.

Founded in 2001, RolloverSystems introduced in March 2003 the first true one-stop solution for workers seeking a quick, easy, and smart way to roll over their retirement savings from an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan to an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). The proprietary technology allows employees to go to one site, fill out a simple form, and receive multiple Rollover IRA offers from a network of competing financial institutions, including Charles Schwab, J.P. Morgan Chase, T.D. Waterhouse, and Harrisdirect.

The rollover solution is now available through RolloverSystems' own website at www.rollovermarket.com and www.CareerBuilder.com, as well as through employers and e-HR technology partners, including HR XCEL and Exult.
